Privacy Policy

ReferClip ("ReferClip," "we," "us") is operated by Qwez Ventures, LLC. This policy explains what information we collect through the ReferClip app, App Clip, and website, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It's written to describe exactly what this product actually does, not generic boilerplate.

Who uses ReferClip, and what we collect from each

ReferClip has three kinds of people in it, and we collect different information from each:

• Agents (the professionals who use the app and dashboard): name, phone number, email address, and account credentials (via Supabase Authentication), plus whatever profile details you choose to add — a branding tagline, bio, photo URL, Calendly link, and public username. If you enable native push notifications, we store a device token used only to deliver those notifications.
• Referrers(an Agent's clients, who use the App Clip to send referrals): name and phone number, entered by the Agent when creating a referral link — a Referrer never creates an account or logs in.
• Referees (the people a Referrer refers): name and phone number, but only for the specific contacts a Referrer actively selects and sends — we also record the timestamp of when a Referee first taps their referral link.

About Contacts access in the App Clip

When a Referrer uses the App Clip to send referrals, iOS asks permission to access Contacts. This permission is used only to show Apple's native contact picker, which runs independently of our app — we only ever receive the name and phone number of the specific contacts the Referrer taps to select. We never receive, upload, or store a Referrer's full address book.

About the SMS messages themselves

ReferClip does not send text messages through any messaging service of our own. The App Clip opens the Referrer's native Messages app with a pre-written message already filled in, and the Referrer taps Send themselves, from their own phone number, through Apple's standard SMS/iMessage system. We generate the message text and provide the referral link, but the message itself is sent by the Referrer, not by us.

How we use this information

• To generate and operate referral links, QR codes, and their associated tracking codes.
• To notify an Agent — by push notification, email, and an in-dashboard alert — when a Referee views their profile.
• To display an Agent's referral activity, pipeline status, and private notes on their dashboard.
• To operate the public profile page a Referee sees when they tap their link.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or ad targeting.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to operate ReferClip. Each only receives the data needed to perform its function:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Resend — delivering email notifications to Agents.
• Apple (APNs) — delivering native push notifications to the ReferClip app.
• Railway — hosting our backend API.
• Vercel — hosting our web dashboard and public pages.

We do not otherwise share personal information with third parties, except if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We retain Agent, Referrer, and Referral information for as long as an Agent's account is active, so the dashboard and referral history stay usable. Any Agent can request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by emailing support@referclip.com.

Age

ReferClip does not perform technical age verification of Referees — there is no reliable way to verify age from a phone contact. Instead, Agents attest at the time they create a referral link that the referral request is limited to contacts who are 18 or older, and are responsible for honoring that as the professional of record.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the app, website, and our servers. Access to the dashboard requires authentication, and Agents can only see their own referral data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
